About Lyca mobile IPs

Lycamobile is a mobile virtual network operator: it sells its own SIMs but runs on EE’s network. Its addresses come from the same kind of EE mobile ranges, so websites see an ordinary UK mobile connection.

Lyca is our largest pool, made up mostly of 5G Android phones plus 4G routers, so it’s usually the easiest network to get in stock. Our Lyca SIMs have IPv6, and proxies on them use IPv6 first by default; you can choose IPv4 at checkout or switch later on the proxy page.

Questions

Is Lyca the same as EE?

Lyca sells its own SIMs and runs on EE’s network, so the coverage and IP ranges are EE’s, while billing and bundles are Lyca’s.

Why choose Lyca?

It’s our biggest pool, with lots of 5G phones and IPv6 on every SIM, so it’s usually in stock when other networks are busy.

Do Lyca proxies support WireGuard?

About half do. Tick the WireGuard filter when you buy and we only give you a Lyca modem that has it. The proxy page then shows its WireGuard link and a config file to download.

Will I keep a Lyca IP after rotating?

Yes. The device stays on its Lyca SIM, so every new address comes from Lyca. A rotation usually takes under a minute.

Can I choose a specific UK city?

No. Mobile IP addresses are assigned by the network and aren’t tied to a city.
