About O2 mobile IPs

O2 (Virgin Media O2) runs its own national network, and Sky Mobile also runs on it. An O2 proxy gives you the address a typical O2 phone user has, which is useful when you need to see what O2 customers see, or when you want to spread work across more than one UK network.

O2 doesn’t provide IPv6, so O2 proxies are IPv4 only. Our O2 modems are 4G USB dongles, and they’re a bit slower in our tests than the other networks.

Questions

Do O2 proxies support IPv6?

No. O2 doesn’t provide IPv6 to mobile data customers, so O2 proxies are IPv4 only. Choose EE, Lyca or Three if you need IPv6.

Is there O2 5G?

Not at the moment: our O2 modems are 4G.

Do O2 proxies support WireGuard?

Yes, every O2 modem does. The proxy page shows its WireGuard link and a config file to download.

Will I keep an O2 IP after rotating?

Yes. The device stays on its O2 SIM, so every new address comes from O2. A rotation usually takes under a minute.

Can I choose a specific UK city?

No. Mobile IP addresses are assigned by the network and aren’t tied to a city.
