Why ad checks need real mobile IPs

Ad platforms decide what to show from who they think is watching: country, region, device and connection type. A check from an office line or a datacenter IP often gets a different ad — or none at all — compared with a shopper on their phone.

Bad actors rely on that gap. Cloaked campaigns show reviewers a clean page while sending real mobile visitors somewhere else, and hijacked placements only appear for the audience they target. Checking from a genuine UK mobile connection shows you what that audience sees.

Questions

Can I check in-app ads?

Yes. Install the proxy’s OpenVPN profile on a test phone or tablet and all of its app traffic goes out through the UK mobile IP. On most modems you can use WireGuard instead.

Can I compare carriers?

Yes. Run one proxy per carrier — EE, O2, Three, Sky and Lyca — and run the same check through each.

How do I look like a new visitor for each check?

Rotate the IP between checks with the rotation URL or the API, and clear cookies or use a fresh browser profile.

Are the IPs UK-only?

Yes. Every IP is a real 4G or 5G connection on a UK carrier.
