Mobile proxies for web scraping
Collect public data through real UK mobile connections that sites rarely block — and get a fresh IP whenever you ask for one.
Why use mobile IPs for scraping
Many sites rate-limit or block datacenter IP ranges outright, and shared residential pools vary in quality from one request to the next. Mobile IPs are in a different position: carriers share each public address between many real subscribers through carrier-grade NAT, so blocking one would also block genuine customers. That makes a UK mobile IP a dependable way to see the same pages, prices and search results a UK visitor sees.
How T-Proxy fits a scraping setup
- Your own modem and bandwidth. Each proxy is one physical modem with its own SIM — not shared with other customers, so their traffic never slows you down or burns your IP.
- Rotation on your schedule. Call the proxy’s rotation URL (a plain GET, no login) from your script, or use the API. A rotation usually takes under a minute.
- Standard protocols. HTTP and SOCKS5 with a username and password work with curl, Python requests, Scrapy, Playwright, Puppeteer and Selenium. Most modems also offer WireGuard and Vless if you’d rather tunnel a whole machine.
- Unmetered fixed terms. No per-gigabyte bill on a fixed-term plan, so large crawls cost the same as small ones.
- 4G or 5G. 5G gives more throughput for heavy pages and downloads.
- Scale out. Run several proxies in parallel to spread requests over more IPs and carriers. The Reseller API lets you claim and manage proxies from code.
Example: fetch, then rotate
The connection drops briefly while the modem picks up its new address, so pause requests until the proxy answers again. Rotations requested too close together are refused, so rotate per batch or per session rather than per request. The Python guide has a complete, tested example with requests and Playwright.
Scrape responsibly
- Collect public data, and respect each site’s terms and robots.txt where they apply.
- Keep request rates reasonable — a slower crawl is also less likely to be challenged.
- Don’t scrape behind logins you aren’t authorised to use.
- Our acceptable use policy rules out attacks on third parties and unauthorised access, and we suspend accounts that break it.

Questions
How long does a rotation take?
Usually under a minute. The modem reconnects to the carrier and gets a new address; the proxy is unavailable for that short time.
Which tools and libraries work?
Anything that supports an HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy with a username and password: curl, Python requests, Scrapy, Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium and most scraping frameworks.
Is usage metered?
Not on fixed-term plans — usage is unmetered for the whole day, week or month you pay for.
Can I run several proxies at once?
Yes. Many customers run one proxy per carrier or per job. The Reseller API lets you claim and manage them from your own code.
