Mobile proxies for app and website testing
See how your app or site behaves for UK mobile users — from anywhere, without a UK SIM in every tester’s phone.
Why test on a real UK mobile network
Office Wi-Fi and cloud test machines are not what your customers use. Geo checks, CDNs, fraud and risk systems, and UK-only features can all behave differently for a phone on a UK carrier. Carrier networks also put many users behind each IP (carrier-grade NAT) and increasingly use IPv6 — both of which can break assumptions that never show up in the office.
A T-Proxy line puts your test traffic on a real UK 4G or 5G connection, wherever your testers are.
What you can test
- UK-only features and geo rules — content, redirects and sign-up flows that depend on the visitor being in the UK.
- Localisation — prices in pounds, VAT, delivery options and UK-specific wording.
- Login, checkout and risk checks — flows that score the visitor’s IP, which datacenter test machines often fail.
- IPv6 — whether your app, API and CDN work properly over IPv6 on a mobile network.
- Carrier differences — compare EE, O2, Three, Sky and Lyca side by side.
- 4G vs 5G — load times and media playback on each network type.
How to connect
- A whole test device. Download the proxy’s OpenVPN profile and install it on a test phone, tablet, emulator or laptop — every app on it then goes out through the UK mobile IP. See the iPhone and Android guide. Most modems also offer WireGuard (a .conf file from the proxy page) and Vless — tick the WireGuard or Vless filter when you buy.
- Automated browser tests. Point Playwright, Selenium or any HTTP client at the proxy’s HTTP or SOCKS5 port with its username and password.
- Share with your team. The OpenVPN link works without a T-Proxy login, so testers and contractors can use it without access to your account.
- A fresh IP when you need one. Rotate with the rotation URL or the API — useful for repeating a first-visit flow — usually in under a minute.
Connection details and profiles are covered in the setup guide.
Plans
Fixed-term plans include unmetered usage for the whole term and are billed upfront, with no long-term contract.
A day pass is enough for a one-off release check; a monthly plan suits a standing QA setup.
| Plan | 1 day | 1 week | 1 month |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4G | £4 | £20 | £65 |
| 5G | £5 | £25 | £70 |
Questions
Can I route a whole phone through the proxy?
Yes. Install the OpenVPN profile on the phone and all of its traffic, including apps, goes through the UK mobile connection. On most modems you can use WireGuard instead.
Can testers outside the UK use it?
Yes. Your tester can be anywhere — their traffic leaves through the modem in the UK, so sites and apps see a UK mobile user.
Can I test IPv6?
Most of our SIMs run dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6. Use the IPv6 filter when you choose a proxy to be sure the one you claim has it.
Can I compare carriers or 4G and 5G?
Yes. Run one proxy per carrier or network type and repeat the same test through each.
